Karen Copeland, Staffordshire

KLC-HSH2.jpgImageKaren has been involved in Health and Fitness for over 12 years, having completed the YMCA Diploma in Fitness and Exercise which included Ante and Post natal exercise at Level 3. Since then she has worked within many prominent clubs around the Midlands and the North West as a Personal Trainer and Health+ Fitness Manager. Having left David Lloyd Leisure in 2005 she returned to her passion for teaching and has enjoyed 2 years of training more clients as well as developing future professionals via her roles as tutor/ lecturer/ assessor with a number of training organisations across the country including University of Central Lancashire and Performance Training solutions.

Karen has 2 children aged 4 and 9 who love working with mummy when they are allowed and they too have caught the exercise bug with her eldest daughter having recently been signed for a Football Centre of Excellence. Having discovered a chronic back injury during the first pregnancy and experienced a caesarean during the second, Karen knows first hand how difficult it can be to maintain and develop fitness before during and after pregnancy. These experiences combined with existing knowledge and constant research allows Karen to build programmes which are manageable and effective, whilst supporting the client throughout.
